The aim of the project was to perform an in-depth critical review of a selected number of studies regarding waste management (disposal, incineration, recycling) of plastics, glass, wood, aggregates, steel and aluminium. A large part of the studies would expectedly take into consideration the life cycle of the materials/products that end up as waste – i.e. LCA studies. The results, interpretations and conclusions of each study were identified and critically reviewed against key methodological choices of the study. Client: Waste & Resources Action Programme (WRAP), UK.
